A VIP visit to new site as Pentaxia prepares to move

The President of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) visited Pentaxia’s brand-new facility in Derby to learn more about the firm’s plans for growth, as part of her annual tour of business in the East Midlands.

Welcomed by managing director Stephen Ollier, IMechE President Carolyn Griffiths had the opportunity to look round the firm’s current facility on Longbridge Lane, followed by a tour of the new, six-acre site on Alfreton Road.

Stephen Ollier said, “The visit from Carolyn Griffiths was a fantastic opportunity for us to demonstrate Pentaxia’s current capabilities as an advanced composite manufacturer, and explain our plans for expansion to meet increased demand in the sector. We also spoke about our investment in apprentices and our commitment in encouraging careers in engineering for the next generation.”

In addition to the visit, Harj Sanghera, quality Engineer at Pentaxia attended the Institute of Mechanical Engineers East Midlands annual dinner, which took place on the 10th November 2017 at Derby Arena’s Velodrome.
